Northern Swamps of Chiapas (Day 1)

Day one in the northern wetlands of Chiapas brought a wonderful mix of grassland and lake-edge birding — from Double-striped Thick-knee and rare migratory Upland Sandpipers in the fields to a flock of seven towering Jabirus at sunset.
